Pregnancy

Do I have to eat twice as much during pregnancy?

If you are at a healthy weight, doubling your meals will only increase your weight and have no effect on having a healthier child. You just need to add 300 calories to your diet in the first six months. Also, this need for more calories is not evenly distributed during the months of pregnancy. For example, in the first trimester of pregnancy you need the same number of calories as before pregnancy, while from the fourth to the seventh month you need 340 extra calories (daily and in the third trimester you need 450 extra calories daily.
