Oftalmi needed a flexible solution that would
synchronize batch traceability, inventory
management according to expiration dates, and
quality control. Scala’s Collaborative ERP system
enables them to monitor operations through a
centralized system across multiple platforms,
improving efficiency and timeliness, while
lowering basic operating costs. After much
research, Oftalmi found Scala to be especially
strong in these industry-critical areas. Working
closely with Scala’s business partner in Venezuela,
SCS Consultores, the company implemented Scala’s
financial, logistics and manufacturing modules
company-wide and went live within months.
Specific functionality and cost-effectiveness
“Oftalmi started to look for a new ERP system back
in 2000,” says Enrique Garcia, System Manager at
Laboratorios Oftalmi. “At the time we looked at
Scala and we were impressed with the adaptability
of the software for the pharmaceutical sector and
the excellent value-cost relation for a company of
our size as we compared Scala to other ERP vendors”.

Galderma, Astra Zeneca and important market

Mr. Corrado Rusica, General Manager of Oftalmi,
